Creating visual content is something that I've always enjoyed. I started creating Instagram posts for brands in 2016 and have been able to continue this skill with many different brands over the years, and am now getting the pleasure of expanding to video content!
As a part of an assignment to call attention to a linguistic challenge in our country, I decided to challenge the way that we treat the deaf community on social media. Specifically - the lack of closed captioning on videos with an informative PSA.
I have been creating static images and video content for The Shelf since September 2021 and we have see an 8% growth in our following and a 23% increase in engagement since I've started creating.
I decided to interview my nephew at the end of 2020 and then again in May 2022. It was a fun way to see how much he's grown emotionally, but also see how much he's changed in the way he speaks.
